Why a Reputable Breeder?

Aspry Bichon Frise is a responsible breeder, and Aspry Bichon’s may be the right breeder for you if you are considering a pure bred Bichon Frise puppy that has been selectively bred with attention to the ideal soundness, both in temperament and physical health.

Aspry Bichon is what is known as a “hobby breeder” which means that we are not breeding dogs to pay our bills-and this is a good thing. We do not overbreed our dogs, and use great care in selecting the right timing and the right mating to achieve our goals. We delight in the entire process of showing our quality dogs to their championships, choosing exceptional breeding stock, and raising well socialized puppies. At a minimum we test for hip dysplasia, patellar luxation and genetic eye abnormalities and are willing to provide these test results for our puppy buyers. We raise our puppies in our suburban Denver home so that they are cared for, well socialized, and are beginning the skills that will lead to a happy healthy life as a companion for the right owner. An potential puppy buyer will be able to meet the dam in our home and should they be locally available, a puppy buyer can also meet the sire; however, in many cases the sire is located in another state.

Past puppy buyers are happy to supply references about their experience with Aspry Bichon’s and their well adjusted grown dogs that have come from our litters-just ask and we will get you contact information.

Our puppies will have their first two sets of shots, a microchip, and we encourage our buyers to take their new puppy to their vet for a health check as soon as they take their puppy home. Our puppies are sold under an agreement to spay/neuter the puppy as soon as it is both healthy and practical. Meanwhile, it is our expectation that the puppy be carefully protected from any accidental breeding that could occur before the sterilization surgery takes place.

Our litters are registered with the American Kennel Club, and we ask that our puppy buyers continue the registration process. We also ask that our puppy buyers commit to ongoing health tests to give their Bichon the best care and also to let us know if there are any abnormalities that show up later in life. This helps us continue a sound and reputable breeding program.

Our mentor breeders/co-breeders, are a veterinarian and professional handler, and have been raising and breeding the Bichon Frise for more than 35 years, producing over 160 champions. It is a great honor to be following their breeding program to produce quality Bichon Frise companions. For more information, please feel free to visit their website: https://bellecreekbichons.com
